DNM SUSPENSION ON STEALTH ELECTRIC BIKES

By | B-52, F-37, H-52 | One Comment

Stealth Electric Bikes are renowned for being ultra-tough, versatile, and capable of handling any terrain with ease. This is all made possible by carefully selecting the right components for the job at hand. One of the most crucial factors of having a great handling bike is of course the suspension setup.  Stealth Electric Bikes have picked DNM Suspension Technology for being the providers of both front and rear suspension units that can be found on our B-52, H-52 and F-37 models.

We have seen DNM come a long way from their humble beginnings in 1978 when they had a main focus on motorcycle suspension technology. Since then DNM have certainly diversified their operational capabilities with new found focuses on ATV’s and push bikes.  To us this seems the perfect fit for the manufacturers of the one of the world’s fastest e-bikes.

Some of the benefits of running an Upside Down Fork or a (USD fork) mainly relate to increasing strength by utilising larger diameter tubes and sliders, this increases rigidity and in turn makes the suspension fork stronger. It also reduces the amount of flex and leads to better steering feedback for the rider. With over 200mm of front suspension travel the DNM units are capable of taking anything you care to throw at them.

With damper, preload, and compression adjustability offered on both front and rear suspension components  there is no reason why you won’t able to achieve the optimal balance of performance and comfort to tackle your favourite trail.

Stealth donates at The Battlefield

By | E-Bike Events, F-37, Promotions, Test Rides, USA | No Comments

Where better to donate some of Stealth’s finest artillery than at a charity event hosted at Battlefield Vegas? The third annual Beyond Shot Party in the USA’s inland party capital will see a Stealth F-37 raffled-off to a packed crowd on Wednesday, 20 January.

In direct support of The Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Green Beret Foundation and Raider Project charity organisations, the F-37 will be auctioned alongside an MK-46 machine gun, a Handl Defense Scar 17, and a limited edition Beretta M9. And, while the F-37 is known for its speed and agility, Stealth doesn’t recommend starting a fight with any of the lucky gun winners…

Machine Gun Armory MK46

The event venue, Battlefield Vegas, will make a worthwhile visit on its own. A place where the F-37’s military styling will look right at home, Battlefield is home to Vegas’s largest machine gun range and is veteran owned and operated.

You can even shoot the world’s fastest legal machine gun, unleashing 200 rounds in 1.3 seconds. That’s almost as fast as the F-37.

Beyond Shot will also see special guests, Christmas Abbott and Rudy Reyes in attendance. Like the F-37, both have physiques to die for, and Reyes is well known from the popular HBO mini-series Generation Kill.

Stealth aside, Perhaps the ultimate prize is the chance to crush a car with an M1 Abrams tank – a prize that will be raffled every 30 minutes throughout the evening. So, if you don’t win the F-37, there will be a perfect avenue to take out your frustrations:

As a last resort, though, you can book a test ride at your nearest Stealth dealer.

Stealth Electric Bikes has long been a proud supporter of numerous charity events worldwide, but Beyond Shot is likely to be the most exciting and memorable to date. It comes just days after the official end of the Stealth team’s USA Tour, but it’s merely the start of even more Stealth activity in North America.

Stealth’s revised model names take flight

By | B-52, F-37, H-52, New Products | One Comment

The B-52 Stratofortress is a long-range, subsonic strategic bomber, which has been used by the US Air Force since the fifties. It is widely regarded for its robust construction and long-term dominance. And – you guessed it – Stealth’s own B-52 e-bike is named in its honour, just like its stablemates, the F-37 and H-52, which also carry the names of current and future high-tech aircraft.

And, this week, we can announce that Stealth’s founding model names – Bomber, Fighter and Hurricane – have been officially retired, with the simplified model designations, B-52, F-37 and H-52, now leading Stealth’s formation.

“We believe the simplified model codes are sharper and more memorable, and through their association with some of the world’s most advanced aeronautical engineering, they usher in the next generation of Stealth Electric Bikes’ technological prowess,” said Stealth’s CEO John Karambalis.

The Bomber was the electric bike that sealed Stealth’s global reputation. It combined the resilience of the B-52 Stratofortress, with the precise and tactile handling of the famous F-16 Fighting Falcon. It was a fusion of seemingly impossible proportions and customers worldwide rapidly found their way into Stealth’s swelling order book, eager to experience owning the Bomber firsthand. Many have now upgraded to a B-52, or even paired their early Bomber with a lightweight F-37.

Today, the B-52 has taken the Stealth legacy further, offering 5.2kW of power and a suite of high-end componentry, which ensures both low weight and unparalleled durability.

Partnered with the F-37, which is named after the F/A-37 Talon concept, and the H-52, named in honour of the French floatplane fighter aircraft, today’s Stealth arsenal is one that frequently defies gravity on some of the planet’s most demanding terrain.

“It’s no secret that everyone at the Stealth factory is a huge fan of technology – whether with wheels or wings, it doesn’t matter – so you can imagine it didn’t take us long to identify some famous aircraft whose model codes match our bikes’ outputs in kilowatts,” added Karambalis.

“It was a bit of fun initially, but now it’s really stuck, and we’re finding many of our customers – who are often tech-heads themselves – are really aligning with the concept,” said Stealth’s sales manager Theresa Mischkulnig.

In rolling out the updated names, Stealth has left room for customers to get their orders in before Christmas, meaning new riders can prepare their flight plans for Christmas Day.

“For orders that arrive this month, we’ll make every effort to ensure delivery by Christmas,” said Mischkulnig, who also reiterated that every bike is still hand-built in the company’s Melbourne headquarters, ensuring quality control is always front-and-centre.

Whether you’re an Air Force aficionado, an aerospace engineer, or just a mountain biker looking for an overdose of adrenaline, there is a model in the Stealth range that has your flight path covered. You’re best to contact us today and book your tickets.

Stealth F-37 Fighter now packs a long-range punch

By | E-Bike Technology, F-37, New Products | One Comment

Aspiring Stealth owners can push “range anxiety” aside as Stealth HQ has backed-up the F-37 Fighter’s recent power upgrade with a new, long-range power pack. Real-world test results have already seen the upgraded F-37 covering over 100km on a single charge, sending it deep into the e-bike Holy Grail, where speed comes without comprising battery range.

With battery technology evolving at an ever-accelerating rate, a 40% increase in energy density is now possible, and represents the beginning of a new wave of performance enhancements across the Stealth range, sending it even further ahead of the top-tier electric bike market.

To take advantage of the enhanced technology, F-37 riders can utilise the DC-1 Display’s new “E” mode, a setting which test riders have claimed has increased their range by a further 25%.

Driving the technological progression is Stealth’s obsession with continuous improvement and R&D. “When we’re talking about electronic systems, evolution and development is rampant on a worldwide basis. No company stays ahead of the game by resting on its laurels, which is why the team at Stealth actively enhances their own technology rather than waiting for others to do it for them,” said Stealth’s CEO John Karambalis.

“We know we’re at the forefront of our industry, but that’s not enough, and this is why our products are bolstered by a huge technical investment every year. We consistently act on our riders’ feedback and use our grasp of technology to take our bikes to new heights,” adds Karambalis.

And the investment is paying off, with the F-37 seeing record sales for the first quarter of 2015. “What we’re seeing is a real spike in enduro-style riding, driven primarily by the huge boom in this riding style within the mountain biking industry,” said Stealth’s sales manager Theresa Moolenschot.

“Our F-37 product is positioned nicely to meet the needs of these riders and they’re obviously appreciating this. It’s of course way faster and more durable than an enduro mountain bike, offers infinitely more thrills, and still doesn’t need a drop of a fuel – and this simple, low-maintenance style matters to mountain bikers.”

With around 100km of riding range and a 3.7kW output at its disposal, now is the time for your first F-37 experience, especially if you’re hitting summer in the northern hemisphere. You can request your test ride right here.

Too much is NEVER enough

By | B-52, E-Bike Technology, F-37, H-52 | No Comments

When the Big Names are seen riding a Stealth with the biggest custom specs, Stealth Electric Bikes’ customers begin to get excited. The company’s latest YouTube hit, featuring Stealth test pilot Jarryd McNeil shaking down a tricked-up B-52 Bomber, has led to an influx of upgrade requests.

Leading the charge toward maximum performance is the premium Mountain Racing Products (MRP) Groove 200 fork upgrade. Originally engineered by US-based suspension guru, White Brothers, the Groove 200’s upside-down design links back to its founding company’s motocross engineering roots, and ties in nicely with Stealth’s overarching moto vibe.

But for the Groove 200, it’s not all about the aesthetic appeal. With an extra inch of wheel travel over Stealth’s standard RST R-One forks, as well as high-end Norglide bushings and handcrafted internals, the Groove delivers benchmark plushness and lasting reliability. At the same time, the inverted design reduces unsprung weight, enhancing small-bump responsiveness.

MRP Groove

Due to the nature of the inverted design, front-end stiffness is also increased when the Groove is specified, as the length of the large diameter outer tubes is far longer than traditional dual-crown forks. The tighter front-end, combined with the additional support provided by the Groove’s advanced high and low-speed valving, means greatly improved rider control, and more opportunity to exploit your Stealth’s full potential.

“All of our customers who have upgraded to the Groove forks praise the quality of the ride they deliver. We’ve been working closely with both White Brothers and MRP for a long time, and can confidently say that the latest valving tweaks to the Groove are truly top-notch,” said Stealth’s managing director John Karambalis.

The enhanced front-end control is equally matched at the rear, with revised valving available for the DNM rear shock on the new B-52 Bomber and H-52 Hurricane designed to improve high-speed responsiveness. At the same time, the progressively wound spring on these models has also been enhanced, offering better small-bump compliance.

Of course, the greater speed also puts your braking system under more intense pressure, and this is why Stealth also offers Magura’s range-topping MT-8 braking package as an additional option. Given greater braking pressures introduce more heat and potential expansion to the hydraulic fluid, the MT-8 offers on-the-fly adjustment of the brake pads’ bite point, giving riders more control, even under intense downhill riding conditions. And, just to add to the overall package, the MT-8’s brake levers are also carbon fibre, reducing weight and further boosting your Stealth’s aesthetics.

“We don’t just offer our upgrades for the sake of it,” said Stealth’s sales manager, Theresa Moolenschot. “We carefully select every option in our upgrades list, ensuring that each one delivers significant benefits over its standard equivalent. Our bikes are ready for anything straight out of the box, but our upgrades really turn things up to 11.”

For riders who really want to stand out, though, Stealth can also provide many custom colour options outside of those in the standard list. This is done by special order and is a service designed to illustrate the boutique nature of the Stealth company, which is akin to that of Ferrari or Pagani in the motoring world, wherein one-off specials are still produced to this day.

Stealth Wooden Veneer Finish

“Despite the growth in our bikes’ popularity, we’re eager to maintain our boutique vibe, and customisation is central to this. The fact that so many of our orders request special features is also a testament to how valuable this service is to our customers,” adds Karambalis.

Some examples of the custom colour schemes are available on the Stealth Instagram page, where everything from special rim colours, right through to a wooden veneer finish, are on show, highlighting what happens when Stealth customers really want to crank things up.

Every option and upgrade listed in The Stealth Hangar website is available for each of the Stealth models: B-52 Bomber; F-37 Fighter; and H-52 Hurricane. Existing Stealth customers looking to further enhance their machine can also request upgrades. To take advantage of the service, or to enquire about a brand new custom Stealth of your own, the factory is just one email away.

Stealth Puts Trails Under Lights

By | B-52, F-37, H-52, Promotions | No Comments

Stealth Electric Bikes has launched a new, ultra-bright lighting kit as a direct-mount option for each of its three e-bike models, and is offering the kits for free with every new bike order this month.

The 1720-lumen twin-beam package clamps straight onto the handlebars, meaning riders can now carve trails night and day, regardless of the conditions.

“Night riding is a whole new experience, but something a lot of Stealth riders don’t even consider – given the speed our bikes can reach, pilots really need to see where they’re going. Our new lighting kit changes all of this, as our bikes can now take on the trails 24-hours a day,” said Stealth’s sales manager Theresa Moolenschot.

Supporting the kit’s huge lighting output is a 20-hour runtime, and a beam that reaches up to 270 metres into the distance, meaning riders will be well-prepared for whatever lies ahead.

The lighting kit release coincides with a hive of other activity in the Stealth Electric Bikes factory, including a full model refresh, which has seen the newly-named B-52 Bomber and H-52 Hurricane’s respective power outputs cranked up to 5200 Watts. At the same time, the F-37 Fighter has adopted a fresh moniker, backed up by a power boost to 3700 Watts.

“We’ve really cemented our reputation as a world-class e-bike manufacturer now, and we receive some really encouraging feedback from our riders, so now it’s a case of further refining what we do, and making the Stealth experience even better than it is already,” said Stealth’s managing director John Karambalis.

Alongside the significant product developments is the new Stealth Hangar, the company’s revitalised website platform, which contains all the latest bike specs, colour options and dealer information, as well as a full run-down on the new lighting kit.

And there is more to come, too, adds Moolenschot in closing, while encouraging Stealth fans to follow the company on its many social media channels, where she says much of the latest Stealth news is broken first.

The 2015 Stealth Hangar Opens its Doors

By | B-52, F-37, H-52 | No Comments

Stealth Electric Bikes has opened the doors on its new Digital Hangar, an interactive website designed to provide users a unique showcase of its widely-acclaimed range.

With a military vibe dominating the theme of the Hangar, Stealth aims to illustrate the precision of its handcrafted bikes, whilst also echoing the silent and purposeful nature of its products, named after the fabled covert-combat aircraft.

“Our new site is the result of more than a year of feedback from our global client base, all of whom wanted more images and more information on our bikes, and this is just the beginning, as we have loads more updates planned for the coming months,” said Stealth’s sales manager Theresa Moolenschot.

Opening the doors to the Hangar reveals a face-lifted model range, headlined by significant power increases across the entire range, with maximum outputs heading north to 5200 Watts (5.2 kW) for both the newly-named B-52 Bomber and H-52 Hurricane.

At the same time, the equally-updated F-37 Fighter receives a performance boost to 3700 Watts (3.7kW), taking its corner entry speeds to the next level, whilst retaining its benchmark manoeuvrability.

Coinciding with the launch, Stealth pilot Jarryd McNeill took the new B-52 for a casual shakedown, heralding the new performance as “pretty mind-blowing”, with all the action caught right here on film.

With Stealth’s new models elevating the e-bike performance standard even higher, the Digital Hangar has also made it easier to request a test ride and learn just why the range is so highly regarded.

“We receive an unprecedented amount of questions about our bikes, but most of these are best answered by simply taking one for a spin. Our new site ensures test ride requests are quick and easy, even when you’re browsing on a mobile phone, which we know most of our social media subscribers are,” said Moolenschot.

Aspiring pilots can also locate and contact their nearest Stealth dealer via the updated dealer directory page, which contains information on the worldwide dealer network, alongside links to their dedicated websites.
